In Saturday's non-league match, the host Bloomfield Cardinals basketball team scored a good 53-39 triumph over the Loogootee Lions.
In their next game, the Cardinals meet the North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) in a Southwestern Indiana match, on Friday, January 27. Bloomfield will attempt to move on its 13-3 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 9-6 record after their 59-44 non-league loss to Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN).
With the defeat, Loogootee moves to 10-5 on the year. The Lions host Evansville Mater Dei (Evansville, IN) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, January 28. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 6-6.
