In Saturday's non-league outing, the Burlington Wildcats (Burlington, KS) basketball squad felled the visiting Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS), by a margin of 69-61.

The Wildcats (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Prairie View (La Cygne, KS). The Buffalos go into the Pioneer outing with a 1-10 record. In their last outing, Prairie View thwarted Oswego (Oswego, KS), 40-23, in a non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Riverton for a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. Independence will play a Rams squad coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to College Heights Christian (Joplin, MO). The Rams record now stands at 5-5.
