Georgia High School Basketball - Cedar Grove can't hold off Douglas County

The Douglas County Tigers basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Cedar Grove Saints to 72 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newnan for a AAAAAA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Douglas County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 44-40 league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-9.
The Saints (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots enter the AAA Region 5 bout with a 15-4 record. In their last bout, Sandy Creek held off Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA), 82-61, in a non-league bout.
