Illinois High School Basketball - Central crushes South Elgin

January 21, 2023: Burlington, IL 60109

Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL), 75-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Rockets host Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL) to play the Chargers in a Fox Valley bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Dundee-Crown won 65-63 in their recent league bout against Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL)

Next up, the Storm play the Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL) in a Upstate Eight bout, on Tuesday, January 24. South Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 88-63 non-league loss to Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL).
