In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wossman Wildcats (Monroe, LA) basketball squad felled the host Eleanor McMain Mustangs (New Orleans, LA), by a margin of 59-50.
The Wildcats (19-3) will now prepare for their outing against Richwood (Monroe, LA). The Rams go into the 3A District 1 outing with a 15-5 record. In their last outing, Richwood thwarted Union Parish (Farmerville, LA), 77-54, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Warren Easton for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 26. Eleanor McMain will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 45-41 league loss to Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-7.
