New York High School Basketball - Jamestown thwarts Elmira

The Jamestown Red Raiders (Jamestown, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Elmira Express (Elmira, NY), 66-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Red Raiders (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Canisius (Buffalo, NY). The Crusaders go into the non-league outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Canisius defeated Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY), 74-36, in a league outing.
The Express now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Vestal for a Section 4 Southern Tier - Metro outing on Friday, January 27. Elmira will clash with a Golden Bears squad coming off a 93-44 league loss to Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY). The Golden Bears record now stands at 2-6.
