Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pallotti Panthers (Laurel, MD), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laurel upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD) to play the Raiders in a Prince George's County 4A challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Eleanor Roosevelt won 68-46 in their recent league challenge against Parkdale (Riverdale, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the St. Frances Academy Panthers (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Pallotti will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record.
