Newsome Wolves (Lithia, FL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles (Jacksonville, FL), 40-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Newsome upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Wolves travel to Hillsborough (Tampa, FL) to play the Terriers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Terriers go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Hillsborough lost 90-59 in their recent league bout against Leto (Tampa, FL)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the ED White Commanders (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Paxon School For Advanced Studies will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record.
