The Plainfield Cardinals basketball team (Plainfield, NJ), dropped 70-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ)
The Lions now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Star Academy for a Super Essex - Liberty battle on Tuesday, January 31.
The Cardinals (2-12) will now prepare for their battle against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Union Catholic prevailed over Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ), 62-52, in a league battle.
