Illinois High School Basketball - Westinghouse can't hold off Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Westinghouse Warriors to 39 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Saxons now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palatine for a Mid-Suburban - West contest on Thursday, January 26. Schaumburg will battle a Pirates team coming off a 62-33 non-league win over Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 16-6.

The Warriors (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record.
