Georgia High School Basketball - Sequoyah holds off West Forsyth

January 21, 2023: Canton, GA 30115

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) and the visiting West Forsyth Wolverines (Cumming, GA), saw Sequoyah's basketball squad hold off West Forsyth by a tally of 73-67.

With the victory, Sequoyah improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to confront the Wolverines in a AAAAAA Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 4-17. Woodstock lost 76-40 in their recent league challenge against Etowah (Woodstock, GA)

Next up, the Wolverines confront the Lambert Longhorns (Suwanee, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. West Forsyth will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 66-53 league win over Denmark (Alpharetta, GA).
