The First Presbyterian Day Vikings basketball team (Macon, GA), was nudged 42-39 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA)

The Raiders now possess a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Deerfield-Windsor for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Southland Academy will confront a Knights team coming off a 74-22 non-league win over Houston Academy (Dothan, AL). The Knights record now stands at 17-1.

The Vikings (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mount de Sales Academy (Macon, GA). The Cavaliers come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 6 battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Mount de Sales Academy was nudged by John Milledge Academy (Milledgeville, GA), 62-27, in a league battle.
