In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets basketball team scored a decisive 53-18 triumph over the Moon Area Tigers.
In their next game, the Fightin' Planets face the Hampton Talbots (Allison Park, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 2 match, on Monday, January 23. Mars will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Talbots enter the match with a 8-6 record after their 63-50 league loss to New Castle (New Castle, PA).
With the defeat, Moon Area falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Central Valley (Monaca, PA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Central Valley lost 63-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Montour (McKees Rocks, PA)
