California High School Basketball - Mission Bay can't hold off Hoover

The Hoover Cardinals basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting Mission Bay Buccaneers to 23 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University City for a contest on Tuesday, January 31.

The Buccaneers (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Scripps Ranch nudged Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA), 48-18, in a league contest.
