Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lancers confront the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) in a East Valley challenge, on Monday, January 23. Grant will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Poly (Sun Valley, CA).

The Tornados now have a 3-14 record. They take the field next when they host Arcadia for a Pacific challenge on Tuesday, January 24. Hoover will confront a Apaches team coming off a 2-1 league win over Burbank (Burbank, CA). The Apaches record now stands at 5-8.
