The Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Marshfield Bluejays to 48 in the Fighting Irish league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fighting Irish now have a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Springfield Catholic will confront a Trojans team coming off a 66-49 non-league loss to Fair Grove (Fair Grove, MO). The Trojans record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Marshfield falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Bolivar (Bolivar, MO) to confront the Liberators in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Liberators go into the game with a record of 9-4.
