Rhode Island High School Basketball - Prout fells North Smithfield

The Prout Crusaders basketball team scored 83 points and limited the visiting North Smithfield Northmen to 72 in the Crusaders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Crusaders now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Hope for a Division III game on Thursday, January 23. Prout will confront a Huskies team coming off a 62-44 non-league loss to West Warwick (West Warwick, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, North Smithfield falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Northmen host Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI) to confront the Patriots in a Division III game on Thursday, January 23. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 5-7. Davies Career & Tech lost 53-51 in their recent league game against Toll Gate (Warwick, RI)
