The New Hope Indians basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Columbia Eagles to 40 in the Indians non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Indians now have a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Plainview for a 4A Area 16 game on Friday, January 24. New Hope will confront a Bears team coming off a 59-26 league win over North Jackson (Stevenson, AL). The Bears record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, Columbia falls to 1-23 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL) to confront the Jaguars in a 6A Area 16 match on Friday, January 24. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 10-15. Mae Jemison lost 67-47 in their recent league match against Buckhorn (New Market, AL)
