The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northwest Mustangs (Hughesville, MO) and the host Smithton Tigers (Smithton, MO), observed Northwest's basketball team overwhelm Smithton by a score of 48-27.

The Mustangs (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, MO). The Cardinals come into the Kaysinger challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln was routed by Jamestown (Jamestown, MO), 51-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Crest Ridge Cougars (Centerview, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Smithton will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record.
