The St. Edward's Pirates basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Port St. Lucie Jaguars to 40 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now have a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pineapple Cove Classical Academy for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. St. Edward's will confront a Patriots team coming off a 48-28 league loss to Melbourne Central Catholic (Melbourne, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Port St. Lucie falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to South Fork (Stuart, FL) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A District 13 game on Thursday, January 23. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 0-13. South Fork lost 78-15 in their recent non-league game against Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, FL)
