In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting La Crescent Lancers ice hockey team scored a close 9-4 victory over the Faribault Falcons.
The Lancers (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fairmont (Fairmont, MN). The Cardinals go into the non-league contest with a 0-13 record. In their last contest, Fairmont was routed by Windom (Windom, MN), 5-1, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Falcons play the Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) in a Big 9 contest, on Thursday, January 23. Faribault will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Scarlets go into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 4-3 league loss to Owatonna (Owatonna, MN).
