The Classical Purple basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties to 44 in the Purple non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Purple now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Bishop Hendricken for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Classical will confront a Hawks team coming off a 55-37 non-league win over North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Mt. Pleasant falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Kilties host La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. The Rams go into the game with a record of 4-2. La Salle Academy won 72-39 in their recent non-league game against Smithfield (Esmond, RI)
