Brooks Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), 59-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brooks upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Eagles host Elgin (Elgin, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 22. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 8-13. Elgin lost 73-44 in their recent non-league bout against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)

Next up, the Royals play the West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL) in a Upstate Eight bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Larkin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-16 record after their 42-40 non-league win over Addison Trail (Addison, IL).
