In Monday's non-league outing, the Scotland Highlanders (Scotland, SD) basketball squad beat the host Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), by a count of 65-57.
The Highlanders (1-8) will now prepare for their outing against Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD). The Cubs go into the B Region 4 outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Alcester-Hudson defeated Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD), 57-54, in a league outing.
The Pirates now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Gregory for a B Region 5 outing on Thursday, January 25. Avon will clash with a Gorillas squad coming off a 72-49 league win over Burke (Burke, SD). The Gorillas record now stands at 7-2.
