The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the visiting Bagley Flyers to 54 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Monday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ada-Borup for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Mahnomen/Waubun will battle a Cougars team coming off a 67-51 non-league loss to Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 13-2.
The Flyers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Warroad (Warroad, MN). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Warroad triumphed over Stephen-Argyle Central (Stephen, MN), 56-52, in a non-league contest.
