The North Hunterdon Lions basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Bernards Mountaineers to 45 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.
The Lions now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nottingham for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. North Hunterdon will battle a Northstars team coming off a 79-69 non-league loss to Bordentown (Bordentown, NJ). The Northstars record now stands at 9-2.
The Mountaineers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Montgomery (Skillman, NJ). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Montgomery ran past Somerville (Somerville, NJ), 45-38, in a non-league contest.
