Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chemawa Indian Braves (Salem, OR), 79-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Salem Academy upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Culver (Culver, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Tri-River bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-8. Culver lost 48-25 in their recent league bout against Delphian (Sheridan, OR)

Next up, the Braves play the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Chemawa Indian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 55-44 league win over Colton (Colton, OR).
