Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA), 58-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ferndale upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 13-2. Mount Vernon won 78-53 in their recent league bout against Blaine (Blaine, WA)

Next up, the Mariners play the Lynden Christian Lyncs (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Thursday, January 25. Sehome will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Lyncs come into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 75-73 league win over Lakewood (Arlington, WA).
