The Middletown South Eagles basketball team (Middletown, NJ), was nudged 73-69 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Freehold Township Patriots (Freehold, NJ)
The Patriots now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Bank Regional for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 23. Freehold Township will battle a Bucs team coming off a 72-67 non-league win over Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Bucs record now stands at 12-3.
The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Central Regional edged Brick Township (Brick, NJ), 63-26, in a league battle.
