The Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) basketball crushed the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 66-27 in Monday's non-league test.
The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Webster (Webster, SD). The Bearcats go into the A Region 1 test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Webster walloped Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD), 61-35, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they host Faulkton for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 23. Northwestern Area will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 48-41 league win over Ipswich (Ipswich, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 8-3.
