The Hammond Tornadoes basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Pine Raiders to 37 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Paul's for a 5A District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Hammond will meet a Wolves team coming off a 69-37 non-league win over Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 18-7.
The Raiders (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Live Oak (Watson, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Live Oak was nudged by Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA), 79-75, in a league contest.
