In Monday's non-league outing, the IMG Academy Black Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sarasota Military Academy Eagles (Sarasota, FL), by a margin of 57-33.

The Ascenders (3-11) will now prepare for their outing against American Collegiate Academy (Clearwater, FL). The Rough Riders go into the non-league outing with a 11-4 record.

The Eagles now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Bayshore for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 23. Sarasota Military Academy will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 85-43 league win over DeSoto County (Arcadia, FL). The Bruins record now stands at 7-11.
