The Jesup J-Hawks basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings to 48 in the J-Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.
The J-Hawks now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aplington-Parkersburg for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Jesup will battle a Falcons team coming off a 58-48 league win over Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-3.
The Vikings (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA). The Clippers enter the WAMAC - West contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Clear Creek-Amana triumphed over Indianola (Indianola, IA), 77-68, in a non-league contest.
