South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), 71-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Winneshiek upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Kee (Lansing, IA) to clash with the Kee Hawks in a Upper Iowa bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Kee Hawks go into the bout with a record of 15-1. Kee won 69-48 in their recent league bout against Central (Elkader, IA)

Next up, the Chickasaws clash with the North Fayette Hawks (West Union, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. New Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record.
