Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), 87-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ponchatoula upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Green Wave travel to Northshore (Slidell, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Northshore won 42-38 in their recent league bout against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Loranger Wolves (Loranger, LA) in a 4A District 8 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Salmen will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record.
