West Platte Bluejays (Weston, MO) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Joseph Christian Lions (St. Joseph, MO), 68-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Platte upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bluejays host South Holt (Oregon, MO) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 14-2. South Holt won 66-15 in their recent league bout against Union Star (Union Star, MO)

Next up, the Lions play the Mound City/Craig (Mound City, MO) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. St. Joseph Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record.
