Nebraska High School Basketball - Thayer Central knocked off by Sutton

The Sutton Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Thayer Central Titans to 33 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Sutton will meet a Eagles team coming off a 57-38 non-league loss to Beatrice (Beatrice, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 2-10.

The Titans (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Tri County (DeWitt, NE). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Tri County was defeated by Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 55-48, in a non-league contest.
