Cornerstone Christian Cougars (Rockingham, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Regents Lions (Charlottesville, VA), 50-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cornerstone Christian upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Ridgeview Christian (Stuarts Draft, VA) to play the Crusaders in a bout on Thursday, January 25. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Ridgeview Christian won 35-21 in their recent non-league bout against United Christian Academy (Stanardsville, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Redeemer Classical Griffins (Harrisonburg, VA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 25. Regents will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Griffins come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 47-30 league win over Mt. Carmel Christian Academy (Luray, VA).
