Hope Christian Huskies (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hope Christian upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Hornets play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 64-35 non-league win over Gallup (Gallup, NM).
