The Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls basketball team (Kenner, LA), was toppled 40-22 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New Orleans, LA)
The Cardinals now possess a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morris Jeff for a 3A District 9 battle on Tuesday, January 23. Academy of the Sacred Heart will confront a Pelicans team coming off a 37-30 league win over Wright (New Orleans, LA). The Pelicans record now stands at 8-3.
The Swamp Owls (7-15) will now prepare for their battle against Covington (Covington, LA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Covington was toppled by Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA), 53-34, in a league battle.
