Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Red Lake County Central Mustangs (Oklee, MN), 73-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Blackduck upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Drakes travel to Lake of the Woods (Baudette, MN) to clash with the Bears in a A Section 8 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Lake of the Woods won 55-41 in their recent non-league bout against Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers (Cass Lake, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Red Lake County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 88-64 non-league loss to Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN).
