The Menifee County Wildcats basketball team (Frenchburg, KY), was nudged 47-46 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY)

The Colonels now possess a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Rogers Clark for a District 40 battle on Tuesday, January 23. Bourbon County will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 72-60 non-league win over Western Reserve Academy (Hudson, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-1.

The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Bluejackets come into the non-league battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Nicholas County edged Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 64-45, in a non-league battle.
