Conneaut Spartans (Conneaut, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cardinal Huskies (Middlefield, OH), 69-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Conneaut upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Spartans travel to Harvey (Painesville, OH) to clash with the Red Raiders in a Chagrin Valley - Lake bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Harvey lost 60-17 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside (Painesville, OH)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Valley bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Cardinal will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 58-41 non-league win over Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH).
