Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Allegheny Wild Cats (North Versailles, PA), 43-18 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carlynton upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Cougars travel to Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA) to play the Rangers in a WPIAL 2A 2 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Fort Cherry won 74-24 in their recent league bout against Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA)

Next up, the Wild Cats play the Seton LaSalle Rebels (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout, on Thursday, January 25. East Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record.
