Louisiana High School Basketball - Hammond overwhelmed by Pine

The Pine Raiders basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Hammond Tornadoes to 35 in the Raiders non-league victory on Monday.
The Raiders now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amite for a 3A District 7 contest on Friday, January 26. Pine will battle a Warriors team coming off a 58-16 league win over Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 20-5.
The Tornadoes (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Slidell (Slidell, LA). The Tigers come into the 5A District 6 contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, Slidell was routed by Mandeville (Mandeville, LA), 37-34, in a league contest.
