Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI), 56-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Houghton upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Gremlins host Kingsford (Kingsford, MI) to play the Flivvers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Flivvers come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Kingsford won 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against North Dickinson (Felch, MI)

Next up, the Jets play the Dollar Bay Bays (Dollar Bay, MI) in a Copper Mountain bout, on Thursday, February 1. Jeffers will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
