Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host University Trojans (Irvine, CA), 92-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sage Hill upgrades its record to 19-2 on the season. The Lightning travel to Portola (Irvine, CA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Pacific Coast bout on Friday, January 26. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 20-4. Portola won 52-39 in their recent league bout against Woodbridge (Irvine, CA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Beckman Patriots (Irvine, CA) in a Pacific Hills bout, on Wednesday, January 24. University will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 56-52 non-league loss to Woodbridge (Irvine, CA).
