The Meridian Hawks basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Central A & M Raiders to 54 in the Hawks league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hawks now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Warrensburg-Latham for a Central Illinois game on Friday, January 24. Meridian will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 47-38 league win over Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-4.

With the loss, Central A & M falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Pawnee (Pawnee, IL) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Indians go into the game with a record of 3-13. Pawnee lost 39-31 in their recent league game against South County (Franklin, IL)
