Missouri High School Basketball - Winfield nips Duchesne

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Winfield Warriors basketball team scored a close 42-39 win over the Duchesne Pioneers.
The Warriors (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Clopton (Clarksville, MO). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Clopton edged Wright City (Wright City, MO), 73-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Duchesne will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 58-42 league loss to Veritas Christian Academy (O'Fallon, MO).
