Maine High School Basketball - Maranacook defeats Mountain Valley

The Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) basketball were winner over the host Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME), 59-49 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Black Bears now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Mount Abram for a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. Maranacook will play a Roadrunners team coming off a 63-57 non-league loss to Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME). The Roadrunners record now stands at 13-2.

With the loss, Mountain Valley falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Poland (Poland, ME) to play the Knights in a B South bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-4.
